Not as much as you think! In fact, because we make everything in our own workshops, you save as there is no middleman. Best of all, custom sizes cost very little extra, take no longer and won't break the bank.
All the cabinet’s listed on our website will give you an exact price as you input your dimensions and choose your modifications. Where there are additional adjustments and modifications that you’d like to request, the costs of these will be calculated during the quotation phase for you to review before any obligation to proceed with your order.
Included with your cabinet(s) will be all the fitting’s needed to build your cabinet(s). This includes (where needed) hinges, drawer runners, brackets, hanging rails and all required screws and CAM fittings.
Additionally, you will receive an assembly guide with exploded diagrams of your cabinet.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a painting or priming service on any of our cabinets as panels may get damaged during delivery. All our cabinets and panel materials are, however, supplied fully sanded and quality checked, ready for painting.

Customising a cabinet is very easy. On each cabinet product page, you will be able to specify your dimensions, materials, door/drawer front style(s) and a few more frequently requested modifications.
As all of our cabinet(s) are bespoke, further modifications are entirely possible from the design and options available on our website. The best way to request additional adjustments and modifications is to use the ‘Additional Notes’ section at the bottom of the product options Our designer’s will review these during the initial quotation and design stage to make sure everything is achievable.
For tricky and awkward spaced, or if you have something you’d like to match, uploading an image or sketch is very helpful for our designers to better understand and realise your space and vision. The option to upload a file/image is located in the product options on all of our cabinets.
Fewer than you may think! For most cases, simply a screwdriver, measuring tape and hammer will be everything you need as we have worked hard in simplifying the assembly methods of our cabinet’s while actually increasing the strength and re-usability!
Of course, more complex designs and fits will require a few additional tools, such as a jig-saw for scribing filler panels into walls.
As all of our cabinet’s are made to order and unique, we do not hold any cabinets in stock.
We do not offer any specialty MDF which are pre-coloured. All our MDF is moisture resistant which, for 18mm thick panels, is comprised of the standard brown outside surface with a green moisture resistant core. 6mm thick panels are green all throughout.
Feel free to order a sample of our materials to get a better understanding of what you’ll be receiving from our samples page here.

As standard, all our hinges have a soft-close mechanism built into them. This does not include short-armed blind corner hinges which are used for doors that fit onto face-frames. However, soft-close pistons can be requested for these.
Our drawer runners are non-soft-closing as standard but can be requested in the options section of relevant cabinet product pages. Please note that drawer runners which fall shorter than a length of 250mm become a specialised runner and do incur a further additional cost.
They are not! In fact, there are several types and qualities ranging from standard store-bought MDF which is the most familiar and often disregarded due to its poor quality and strength, all the way to premium quality moisture resistant MDF which is what we use. This extra quality allows for an exceptional tooling quality, paint finish and most importantly, a high structural integrity which allows us to be confident in claiming that our cabinets are the strongest bespoke MDF cabinets available anywhere in the country!
Our oak counter-tops are all European solid oak which is sustainably and responsibly sourced with FSC and PEFC ratings. As standard, all our solid oak will be finger-jointed, however, long stave oak can be requested at an additional cost due to its scarcity and size limitations.
A face-frame is simply a frame around the carcass of the cabinet to give a more traditional aesthetic. Face-frames are 50mm wide as standard but can be reduced or increased if needed.
For more information about face-frames, check out our face-frame page!

A Shaker door has a 90° straight-cut edge leading into a central 5mm deep recess.
While an Inner Profile door has a 45° slope leading into the central 7mm deep recess.
The Shaker is more of a 'modern' style of door while an Inner Profile door has more of a 'classical' aesthetic effect.
Examples of our door styles can be seen here.
For larger and the majority of orders, we use a specialist carrier to ensure a safe and secure journey. However, this service does mean deliveries can take between 5-10 working days from the date of despatch from our workshops. Once collected from our workshop, their delivery team will bring the packages back to their depot where they will then plan out their delivery route. They will then contact you directly with a proposed delivery date and time to make sure someone is available to receive the items.
For smaller orders, an express delivery service may be used with either TNT, Parcel Force or Tuffnell’s which can take up to 3 working days from the date of despatch from our workshops.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a fitting or measuring service as we are strictly manufacturers. This allows us to keep our costs down, however, our team is available from Monday – Friday to answer any questions or offer help/suggestions on how best to measure and fit your cabinets.
Fortunately, our latest industry innovation 'Tenon-Loc' has made assembly of our cabinets 'easier than Ikea furniture' according to many of our satisfied customers.
Plus every order includes a Fitting Kit which will contain all the fittings necessary to complete assembly of your project, as well as a General Assembly Guide and an exploded diagram of your order's design where every panel in the project is numbered to correspond with the labels on each panel of your order.
You shouldn't need more than:
1. A Small hammer for tapping cams into position
2. A Screwdriver for tightening screws/cams
3. An Electric Drill for creating pilot holes when attaching counter-tops or filler panels.
***some very basic D.I.Y skill may be required when scribing filler panels to achieve a fitted look on some orders.
Under distant selling regulations: Made to Measure and Bespoke Cabinetry is non-returnable in the event that you 'don't like it'.
However, we work with you to design a cabinet to your specifications and will never put a design into production without your final approval of the design.
So if there is ever anything you're unsure of you should always ask your designer to clarify or explain anything you are not 100% clear about and of course as we always, always say - double and triple check your measurements as we will only produce exactly what we are told.
From the point of payment we allow:
4-5 weeks for the manufacture of a small MDF order
5-6 weeks for the manufacture of a large MDF order
5-6 weeks for the manufacture of a small Birch Faced Ply order
6-7 weeks for the manufacture of a large Birch Faced Ply order
- then allow 8-10 working days for delivery through our specialist carrier from the point of dispatch.
As a standard we design all shelves to be adjustable - where each adjustable shelf has 6 height options spaced 32mm apart from one another with 3 above the default position and 2 below.
Although if you'd prefer we can tool each shelf to have as many variable positions as you'd like at any distance from one another, but tend to advise against aiming for maximum flexibility and having the full length of the interior filled with shelf pin holes - as this can quickly spoil the interior aesthetic
Alternatively, shelves can be fixed in place at any position.
You can specify your preferred shelf heights in the 'additional notes' section at the bottom of every product page.
To ensure an easy assemble while maintaining optimum strength, we have created Tenon-Lock which is a combination of concealed mortice and tenons with high quality CAM fixings. This means connecting panels is a breeze as everything slots together in exactly the right place!
All panels are labeled with their part name and number so you're not having to fumble around with assembly guides trying to work out which piece you have.
