What if I can't find the design I'm looking for?

Creating unique pieces of furniture is what we do and our team is fully capable of taking your plans and layouts, and helping to realise them into a ready-to-assemble kit.

Every MDF cabinet page has an 'Additional Notes' section along with an option to upload a file, whether it's a drawn-out plan, a photo of your space, or a picture you found that you'd like to replicate. Use this area to explain the further modifications you'd like to make that are beyond the given options.

Cabinet dimensions

The most daunting part of the process - we understand there's a lot of pressure to get this right! That's why we have an experienced team who can help and guide you in any way we can to work with you to make sure everything will fit perfectly.

Start by inputting the external dimensions of your cabinet (don't worry if you're not totally sure at this stage). For the most part, this will require measuring your space or what you're looking to conceal, such as a meter cupboard or gas meter.

Although we do have size limits on our cabinet pages, these are mostly to make sure shelves aren't too long or the doors aren't too wide/narrow. Type in the closest dimensions within the parameters and in the next step, you'll be able to request the required sizes.

Customising your cabinet

If you're looking for a coloured cabinet, start by selecting the colour of your cabinet from our different ranges. Further personalise your design with an option for contrasting coloured edges.

Follow the options below to customise your cabinet even more by selecting a different door style (only available for MDF cabinets), a contrasting countertop in either veneered oak or solid pine, how many shelves you'd like and more!

If you'd like to modify your cabinet even more than what's available in the options, we're always happy to accommodate your requests as best as we can to help with achieving your vision.

Customising your cabinet

Start by choosing the material you want your cabinet to be made out of. Aside from how they look, MDF and Birch Ply have different benefits, with MDF being more versatile, easier to paint and a more budget friendly option, while Birch Ply is stronger and doesn't need to be painted.

Below, you'll be able to select from our range of door style (only available on MDF doors due to the composition of Birch Ply), how many shelves you'd like and whether they'll be adjustable or fixed and at which positions.

You'll also be able to request cut-outs of skirting boards, plug sockets, plinth height and other modifications depending on the cabinet, such as a Solid 18mm Oak counter-top or soft-closing drawers.

Additional information and notes

To have an option for every possible alteration, we think, would make things a bit hectic and overwhelming, but every cabinet we make is bespoke and unique and the realms of possibilities are endless! In the 'Additional Notes' section, you'll be able to request and further modifications, make any notes for the design, ask any questions, or as mentioned earlier, type your required dimensions where they weren't available above.

Our designers will work with these notes to make sure everything is achievable, so be as descriptive as you think would help!

You'll also be able to upload a photo of your space, sketches of your ideas or CAD and word document files to better explain your vision.

Placing your order and the quotation process

Once you're finished customising your cabinet, add it to your shopping cart and follow the same steps if you have any other cabinets you'd like to order.

Following through the checkout process as normal and in the 'Payment' section, you'll be able to pay for your order straight away if you're confident everything is correct, or request a quote for your order as well as opting to either have your order delivered or collected from our workshop.

In both cases, we will review your order to make sure everything works and offer any suggestions if we feel something may look or work better. Your order will only proceed to production once we're sure everything is correct and we have your final approval!

When requesting a quote, our designers will first review your order and all your notes to make sure everything is achievable and to price any additional modifications you may have requested. If you're happy with the price and would like to proceed, we will ask you for a design fee (taken off of the total price if the order is accepted) that is proportional to the complexity and size of your order. Once paid, you will receive a comprehensive quote along with full plans and 3D visuals for your cabinet(s) for you to check through!

At any point, you will be able to make comments, ask questions or request changes to your order/design and our team members will work with you to make sure everything is correct and achievable so you can rest assured that once your cabinet arrives, it will fit and work perfectly.

Finally, once you're happy and ready to proceed, we will issue an invoice for the final payment which can be paid online upon which the countdown to the completion of your order begins!

Producing your cabinet

Once and only when your order and designs have been reviewed by us and approved by you, the stages of our production process begins.

First, we will allocate any materials and extra hardware; such as handles, hinges or drawer runners.

Although we do have a queue of orders which will come before you, this does allow some time for you to make any further requests or alterations to your cabinet before production starts, so feel free to contact us at any time if you'd like to change anything or point any difficulties out with the space!

Updating you as your order proceeds through our office and workshop, you will be notified when the production of your cabinet(s) commences. Using state-of-the-art CNC machinery, we can ensure all parts are milled with millimetre accuracy and to the best possible quality.

Using our lean manufacturing method, we are able to group several orders together to reduce material wastage as much as possible, which also helps to reduce our carbon emissions, while also allowing for a faster lead-time.

All edges and surfaces will be fully sanded to a smooth finish, and by using premium moisture-resistant MDF, painting your finished cabinet will be a breeze!

Finally, once all the parts to your cabinet(s) have been made, we will fully wrap and package the components securely and safely to ensure a damage-free journey. Better yet, all our packaging materials are recyclable to make disposing easy and environmentally friendly!
